MEET THE FOUNDERS
Cal Spears
Cal was co-founder and CEO of PocketFives and RotoGrinders. The latter company, which grew the largest community, strategy, and tools site in daily fantasy sports, was acquired by gaming giant Better Collective in 2019. He is also co-founder of the iGaming company Third Planet Affiliates.
Jonathan Bales
Jonathan was co-founder and CEO of FantasyLabs, which was acquired by Chernin Group in 2017. This deal resulted in the founding of Action Network, which sold to Better Collective in 2021. Jonathan is also the author of the Fantasy Sports for Smart People book series.
Kevin Cassata
Kevin was co-founder and CTO of FantasyLabs, which was acquired in 2017 as part of a three-company rollup. Kevin was the Director of Engineering for the resulting company, Action Network, which was acquired in the largest-ever deal for a sports betting media site.
Will Hester
Will was one of the first employees at DraftKings, where he architected the sportsbook API. After serving as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Product at Sports Info Solutions, overseeing B2B products generating millions in revenue, he returned to DraftKings as Director of Engineering.
